Title: HP Pavilion dv6.....Shut Down

Installed LL 4.0 on this Laptop tonight.


The Owner was on the verge of suicide with Windows 10.


No problems at all with the Install.


But when I went to Menu Logout.......There was a Logout option but no Shutdown option.


Never seen this before..... ::)


The only option is to shutdown from the Terminal

Very unusual, have you tried adding it back via Lite Tweaks?

Yes I did........Still the same.

But if you hit the Power button it goes through normal shutdown

Don't suppose you want to try another install? Barring that, I can suggest to set up a shutdown shortcut on the taskbar (I use one myself).

For those who like to shutdown quickly.
Add a new Launcher to the Taskbar.

Copy the following info:

Command: dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit /org/freedesktop/ConsoleKit/Manager org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.Stop

Clean install done......No problems at all  :)
