Post by: RobGoss on October 08, 2016, 07:33:37 AM
Hello everyone I have Linux lite 2.8 installed everything was running good until I booted my machine up today and received this error message:

Code: [Select]
/boot/grub/i386-pc/boot.mod not found
I'm not sure what's going but I would like to fix this issue thanks so much

If you still have the LL 2.8 dvd/usb that you used to install with, boot that.  Then follow instructions on this Boot-Repair page (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair#A2nd_option_:_install_Boot-Repair_in_Ubuntu) to install Boot-Repair to the live dvd/usb and run the "Recommended repair" option.  Save the pastebin link that it spits out when done and post that link back here if the repair doesn't fix problem.

If don't still have old install dvd/usb, make another one if possible.
