It didn't work :'(

Try the following:

Open your /etc/default/grub as Administrator.

Change:


--- Code: ---GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
--- End code ---

to:


--- Code: ---GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash snd_hda_intel.dmic_detect=0"
--- End code ---

Open a Terminal and do:


--- Code: ---sudo update-grub
--- End code ---

Reboot.

Cross your fingers (and toes) :)

You'll probably just need to add a Kernel parameter then. You can either search for the correct string or wait for me to find it.
