Hello!

I've never encountered simultaneous output from speakers and headphones myself, but I imagine the offending device can be muted in PulseAudio. Granted, the plugging in headphones should kill your speakers, but perhapd a driver issue could be interfering with that...

Hi Stubradley1,

Have you had a chance to take a look at the sound section in the Linux Lite Manual? Here's a link to the online manual (there's also a local copy on your pc).

Hello Stuart,

It could be a hardware fault in either the headphone jack or the speaker socket.
Have you tried any other headphones in the speakers ?
Can you plug the speakers into another computer, or friends computer, and see if the same thing occurs ?
With your headphones, and with some other headphones also.
To rule out this aspect of hardware fault/wear and tear.

If thats your attitude towards free support, you don't deserve it. This isn't a large community, we are small and all have lives outside of free software. You would have got a reply, it just didn't happen in the time frame you wanted it.

Well, never mind then. I just opened up the pulse audio and turned the speakers down. Not a very good solution, but that's all I can think of.

ps: Nice forum by the way. Too bad no-ones ever online. Should've left it at LDC, at least people actually responded to queries lol. Thanks for nothing...

Hello everyone!

I've been using linux lite for about around 9 months now, and so far haven't really had any problems so far. I've just installed lmms, and have noticed that even with my headphones plugged in the sound continues to play through the speakers. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance!
