  • CPU: Intel Core i9-10850K CPU @ 3.60GHz

  • MEMORY: 32Gb

  • VIDEO CARD: nVidia GeForce GTX 1650

When it works, please show the output from the following commands:

Code: [Select]
dmesg | grep -i blue
and

Code: [Select]
sudo lsusb |grep Bluetooth
There also looks to be a reliable fix here - https://gist.github.com/pylover/d68be364adac5f946887b85e6ed6e7ae

EDIT:  It's working again today, though the quality is poor. Sounds like the audio is coming from a TV in the next room over.
Strange.

Ran both your codes in the terminal and now the headset isn't even found.

It started working again today after getting some help from the Mint people... but is terrible sound quality. It sounds like music is playing in the next room over and the volume randomly increases and fades out and then back.

I'm seriously considering going back to windows for a couple years in hopes that LINUX will get better. Because I have tried distro after distro and believe me... they ALL have their issues! I really don't like the evil elitist crap that the proprietary companies pull... but at least I can get things DONE while using it.

See @firenice03 reply. We'll need to see some output in order to address your issue accurately.

It was working for a few times of using it and magically STOPPED working!
Not sure what happened as I had done nothing to the OS since. No new
softwares or updates or anything.

But today I did do an Upgrade and then an update. But still no bluetooth.
I tried following the advice of going into the bluetooth manager, but there
is NO Audio Profile in the menu that comes up.

What else can I do to get this working?

Yah, but I wish I knew how it happened.

Regarding my laptop not going to sleep when the cover is closed, I did not post a new thread as I saw there was already one at the top of the Hardware / Start up and Shut Down topic... so I simply responded to it as I am having the same issue.

Well, I fixed it last night. Although I have no clue as to how...
What I did was install several softwares and then updated
them and I figured... what the heck... I'll give it another
shot and Viola! It worked!

But I'm now experiencing a pc-sleep problem and will post a
new thread.

Hello PinStripe,

In LL click - Menu>All>Bluetooth Manager
right click on the headphone and select - audio profile>High fidelity playback

Source https://askubuntu.com/questions/764273/ubuntu-16-04-wont-output-sound-to-bluetooth-headphones

If this does not solve it then issues with your model of headphone is having solutions here https://askubuntu.com/questions/239209/no-sound-from-bluetooth-headset-but-its-detected

Well, I purchased a refurbished HP 14-AL061NR and now the Bluetooth says connected and the sound remains with the laptop.
This is SO frustrating!!

I don't have the luxury of buying whatever... I could only get what I can afford and got a STEAL of a deal on this laptop.
Can the programmer build in a driver for it? If so, I'd be willing to make a small donation.

Everything else seems to work... I don't want to have to change distros just because of Bluetooth.

Edit: Oh and I thought I'd add my headphone model to the issue...

I just returned the laptop to the merchant. It had another issue and didn't want to deal with it. I am now looking for a better one.

Remember you can compare against the Hardware DB, see what others are using .. https://www.linuxliteos.com/hardware.php
Or check components... i5, nvidia, sis, skylake etc... Although may not be 100% out of box but you'll know what other folks are running...

Good luck to you!!
