Download is here https://www.linuxliteos.com/download.html Once the download has finished, check the quality of the image with:

Code: [Select]
md5sum linux-lite-2.0-32bit.iso
and check it against this string here: 5fa984d89a71fedf3e90ca19d47b3168

for the 32bit version.

Alright, I've tried the the sound options thing - doesn't help :(
But I'll go and install 2.0, hopefully I'll have more luck with this one
Thanks again :)

Forgive me I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment, I see you're running 1.0.8 have you tried LL 2.0? Also see if this section here helps - https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/hardware.html#sound In the meantime, grab the download of 2.0 and boot the live cd/usb and see if you have sound.

Yeah, I tried that first... It comes up with "E: Invalid operation linux-headers-linuxlite-3.15.0"

Did you run the command I had in the other link?

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-linuxlite-3.15.0 linux-image-linuxlite-3.15.0 -y
Reboot.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply :)
I tried downloading the "Stable" Kernel, as that seemed like a good idea... But it still isn't working, could it be something simple I've forgotten to do on first install? Like change some glaringly obvious option to enable sound output? Knowing me that's probably what I've done ;)

Looks like a known bug in the 3.13 kernel, try upgrading your kernel here - https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/index.php?topic=474.0

Well, the subject says it all really... I've just switched from Windows 7 (on which I had sound working fine) to Linux Lite 1.0.8. However, when I try to watch a YouTube video for example, there'e no sound at all  :( I've looked at the Help Manual, but I can't seem to find anything that helps me... But then again I'm not the best with computers, and probably misunderstood something... But yeah, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I've also looked through some of the other questions on here, and often people ask for this I believe... Probably the wrong thing, but I hope it helps somewhat :)
