MS EDGE does not launch

I was able to install MS Edge and had it working..
Now, perhaps after an update.. Edge won't launch/run.. the mouse hourglasses a second and nothing happens./.\

I have uninstall reinstalled rebooted.. even downloaded the package seperate and installed it.. nothing works.

Any suggestions etc appreciated..

for it is worth.  i used the package manager to completly remove edge then reinstalled.      edge had locked the profile because it though it was running in on an old hostname.. i had changed the hostname when setting up samba.. anyway it is working now..  self-resolved
