Thanks much. That worked. Very impressive utility. I'm using it in redundance with backintime. He probably covers this someplace, but I think when you upgrade to a new series, such as LL 4.0, it will be necessary to upgrade some of the repositories in the list before restoring. Some of the manually-installed packages might not make the transfer either.

It has been discussed on this thread about a software replacement for systemback where I first mentioned Aptik, I also tried timeshift, backintime and grsync.
Without each others help there ain't no hope for us Smile
