Bluetooth Sound Is Poor and Choppy
#1
What can I do to better the sound quality and stop the choppiness while using Bluetooth.?

It works well under Win10.

I am running LinuxLite under Legacy on my Dell i5755 Laptop.

EDIT: it sounds good through regular laptop speakers and is not choppy.
What's up with the Bluetooth?

[member=6710]PinStripe[/member] Sorry but could you post additional system info?
Perhaps posting the output of
Code:
inxi -Zxf
or perhaps
Code:
lspci

Googling your model looks like it might have Bluetooth 4.0.. Maybe a driver?
Have you checked Additional Drivers?

Perhaps the manual:
https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/hardw...#bluetooth
or

Hopefully these will point you in the right direction they are "bluetooth" generic and not driver specific....

I just returned the laptop to the merchant. It had another issue and didn't want to deal with it. I am now looking for a better one.

Remember you can compare against the Hardware DB, see what others are using .. https://www.linuxliteos.com/hardware.php
Or check components... i5, nvidia, sis, skylake etc... Although may not be 100% out of box but you'll know what other folks are running...

Good luck to you!!

Well, I purchased a refurbished HP 14-AL061NR and now the Bluetooth says connected and the sound remains with the laptop.
This is SO frustrating!!

I don't have the luxury of buying whatever... I could only get what I can afford and got a STEAL of a deal on this laptop.
Can the programmer build in a driver for it? If so, I'd be willing to make a small donation.

Everything else seems to work... I don't want to have to change distros just because of Bluetooth.

Edit: Oh and I thought I'd add my headphone model to the issue...

Hello PinStripe,

In LL click - Menu>All>Bluetooth Manager
right click on the headphone and select - audio profile>High fidelity playback

If this does not solve it then issues with your model of headphone is having solutions here https://askubuntu.com/questions/239209/n...s-detected

Well, I fixed it last night. Although I have no clue as to how...
What I did was install several softwares and then updated
them and I figured... what the heck... I'll give it another
shot and Viola! It worked!

But I'm now experiencing a pc-sleep problem and will post a
new thread.

Yah, but I wish I knew how it happened.

Regarding my laptop not going to sleep when the cover is closed, I did not post a new thread as I saw there was already one at the top of the Hardware / Start up and Shut Down topic... so I simply responded to it as I am having the same issue.
