Hello,

I was trying to update my system today, and for the first time i got an error message, and after searching a bit around the forum i am still uncertain of what to do. Here is the part of the log displaying the error message.

it seems that a IP is unreachable, so i cant download the updates, i can however still read the change logs of what the updates will do, i can see the updates fine, but i cant get them. 

so i hope a very wise person out there can help a "newbie" out, and yes i did try "apt update" in the terminal- sadly it did not work.

Added after posting: I forgot to mention that the update should not have any problems due to software, everything is quite vanilla in the system, and i did update without problems until today.

Looks like there may be a problem with the dk ubuntu repository your system is set to use.

It is probably temporary and will get resolved if you wait.  If you want to try a different server location, click 'Menu' and begin typing 'Lite Software Sources' into the text search box.

When you see 'Lite Software Sources' offered as a choice, click on it.

In the window that opens, click 'Mirrors'.
Under Ubuntu Mirror, click the location pull down on the right hand side to select a different ubuntu repository.
The UK repository is working (at the moment) but you are free to change to any.
Click 'Apply Ubuntu Mirror' and then 'Apply' on the confirmation box.
Enter your password and wait while the system attempts to access the selected repository.
If that works ok, close the window and re-try the update/upgrade.

It did cross my mind it might be resolved later so ill try to wait first as it is getting a little late for me anyway. 
If the problem is not resolved by morning ill try switching mirrors.

Again thank you so much for the thorough guide on switching mirrors, and on confirming the UK mirror to be working so i have another option to get the updates from.
