Cannot update software - EOS, skype repository

Help.  I get this error when trying to update software:

It appears your system has a number of problems.

The primary problem is that the operating system (OS) appears to be Linux Lite version 5.  Support for Linux Lite 5 ended in April 2025.  You should move to a supported OS and should not connect to the Internet using your current set up as it is likely to have unpatched security vulnerabilities.

A secondary problem, which is related to running the older OS, is that your system is looking for skype updates.  The repository associated with skype is no longer valid, probably because skype itself is also discontinued since 2025.  Because the skype repository is invalid, the update/upgrade process on your system fails.  Even if this was fixed (by uninstalling skype) the underlying OS is still the primary problem.
