[SOLVED] Broadcom, Possible Solution

This thread is solved in the spirt that it doesn't appear to work. If you try this approach please post your results if you have time. Thank you. ~Scott


The video below (from PuppyLinux) illustrates this but here it is in three steps.

1. Install LL 2
2. Run system-updates (no reboot)
3. Install drivers (reboot)

It seems installing the Broadcom drivers without rebooting after the initial system-update will prevent the system-update process from breaking the wireless drivers.

This approach worked here but will it work for other hardware? I have no way to test this. Can anyone confirm this works?
