I installed Windows 10 lite and Linux Lite (in that order) in an old machine and suddenly the topic`s message appeared. I thought it could be solved reparing the grub. I booted with an ISO with Boot Repair Disk with no right result. Then, I made a trial erasing LL and installing Lubuntu preserving Windows. After the installation, the problem persists. Windows boots properly. I acknowledge the solution.
This could be a problem with the disk you are using.
How old and what is the condition of the disk you are installing on.
Check the SMART attributes if you can.
If there are any doubts about the condition of the disk please try to find a newer one.
If the disk is healthy, it is possible there is a problem with the installation.
Ensure you check the integrity of the download before writing to Live Media.
Sometimes the software used to write the Live Media can cause problems.
What system and software did you use to create the Live Media from the downloaded file ?

Thank you Stevef for your response. I've been using LL after installing it in that machine some months ago, as an entire partition with no troubles. The problem appeared after installing Windows 10 Lite and then LL. Specifically, I think, a Windows update did somenthing on the disk. Yesterday night, after installing Lubuntu as a verification that the problem is not on the Grub, it's probable that some hidden partition or other modification on it may cause the error. I'll try to analize the disk with Gparted, trying to solve it. I downloaded the ISO file at LL web site and installed it with Easy2Boot. Other trials with a pendrive were burned with Balena Etcher.
