More helpful is the console messages.  We need software clues, not hardware clues.  What software are you installing?  What error message(s) you get?
Open up a console and do

Code:

apt-get install [name of software]

where [name of software] is the console executable name (often small case; may not be same as name of program).  And post the output(s).
If you don't know the name of the software, post and someone will answer.
