Another "flexible" option if you are looking at "Offsite" Backup
CRASHPLAN

CRASH Plan App give's you options for:
Local Backup at Home to an external storage device
Remote Backup to any PC(Family/Friends/Office etc, needs Remote PC needs CRASHPLAN)
or to
CRASHPLANS own Cloud Service
They have a Linux App option
