Dell Latitude E6220 Laptop boot time too long

As far as I can tell, the Dell Latitude E6220 Laptop dates back to 2011 and will have been expected to run Vista or 7.
Does it perform adequately when booted?
Yes, it does—pretty fast.

When I had Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed, the boot time was much faster - about 1.30 mins.  However, when I used Microsoft Edge, it used lots of memory, 80-90, the hard disk was always running 100%, and sometimes it froze.  It was basically the same with whatever browser I'd used.
