Definitely improving!
Having three Download (and Donation) buttons on the landing page is a bit much. Especially the duplicates in the top menu. If people didn't find the Download button easily I'd suggest to make the one Download button in the top menu stand out.

Does the download data show that the majority of people downloading old releases are actually choosing the first release of old series? That would be really surprising. Only then it would make sense though, to link to the first release of older series.
Due to the step of first selecting a mirror all ISO links are identical and - after selecting a mirror - will always show the complete list of all releases. It would be more user friendly if the active selection of a release would actually result in showing only the selected release, even with/after the intermediate step of selecting a specific mirror. Not sure how much coding effort that would require though.
In additions to my initial comments about the sub-headings of the "Download" page, I also just noticed that - after a bit of scrolling - the layout is actually confusing, mainly due to the horizontal, coloured line and no extra white space above each heading. Obviously the sections created by these lines are different from the desired sections.

What I mentioned above regarding the "Status" page also applies to the "Mirror" page. Both break the design and navigation. Maybe there is a technical/coding reason for this?
