Help me, please! - CDROM and archive canonical
#15
Sorry you are getting errors when posting.  It sometimes happens to me.

I've not given up helping but I don't think I've missed a reply.
We still need to see the results of the two commands.
The only thing I could read from your posts about the output of the second command is 'The second command code produced a Blank page' which is not possible.

You can execute the two commands again.
Run this command to get the system to check for possible updates. You will need to enter your password if asked.
Code:
sudo apt-get update | tee ~/"$(date +"%Y_%m_%d_%T")-apt-get-update.txt"
Then run this command to initiate the upgrade process
Code:
sudo apt-get upgrade | tee ~/"$(date +"%Y_%m_%d_%T")-apt-get-upgrade.txt"
The second part of each command records the screen output to a text file in your home directory.

After running the commands you should find two new text files in your home folder.
The filenames with be prefixed with the date and time that the commands were run.
Copy the contents of the files and paste them into the thread.
Once we can see what is happening, we can help. Describing LL updates as 'giving hell' is a bit strong.
