New installation on an old PC - Wifi not working

No need to be - I didn't anticipate it would be a problem.

The log appears normal up to and including this line

It should progress from the 'disconnected' state but just appears to stop.

Did you ever try the wifi after booting a Linux Lite version 6 Live Media ?
