Linux lite 5.x is end of support since April. If you can get Lite 6.x installed and working it will have support until April 2027.

Errors and warnings messages may occur in a good boot and the system just continues.
An error serious enough to stop the boot might be expected to remain visible.

Linux Lite 7.4 on a 2012 machine (even with an SSD) could take several minutes to get to the log in screen, so give it plenty of time.  If your system displays a 'splash' screen while booting, try pressing the 'Esc' key while the splash picture is showing. It may make the boot messages behind the splash picture visible so you can see what's happening in real time.
