I have another one but that's a 64bit. I just checked available updates and there's a new kernel version available: 4.4.0.203.209


I haven't upgraded the OS because it's a bunch, around 500mb and will take some time, so I can tell whether this new kernel won't cause any issues like the one you're experiencing, but it might be worth to try.
