Choppy video-sound

It's not a particularly powerful computer. Try this, open a terminal and type in: vlc followed by the youtube link.

Oh, I know, it's a terrible machine...that's the reason why I decided to remove that Windows xp hog.
Before Linux lite I tried lubuntu and it was the only distro that played videos fine, but it simply did not recognized any wifi, so I was forced to use an Ethernet cable.

I did what you suggested and it opened a vlc window with a Linux lite review...unfortunately, the video doesn't play at all, it appears to stay stuck at 00:00 no matter what I press.
