Hi,
I can see two things that could lead to this problem.One is that the NAS does not have a guess/anonymous access to list shared devices and/or you have to already be logged as "admin" or similar to do this.Also, sometimes using the name of the device instead of the IP and vice versa can give different result.i.e. Using smb://nameofnas instead of smb://192.168.x.x
Oh, and third, also try to "browse" the Network shortcut from the file manager, sometimes the username/password popup is more accessible this way... for me and a QNAP anyways.
