Check your BIOS on the unresponsive machine.
You can try this too: https://linux.die.net/man/8/dmidecode if you can't access BIOS normally.
Possible commands below:
dmidecode -t 24 and dmidecode -t 30
Otherwise look for other hard block switches on the system.
