Oops, I have answered my first question re: Firefox.  I had forgotten that I had not connected to the WiFi! 

So, Firefox is working.

So my ONLY question now is - since LL 3.4 appears to be running fine off of the USB stick does that mean I can go ahead and "install LL" without being concerned about UEFI and legacy?
