Alternate installer possible?

At one point I was going to ask that question. I did it for Xubuntu one time. Takes longer with all the downloads, but you get all the latest packages when the install is complete. Could be intimidating for folks not used to Linux as it starts out as a graphical installer. At less than 60mb for an install medium it's an attractive alternative.
