Wifi connects but stops a lot

I've web searched your adapter with Linux and/or Ubuntu.  I see some complicated approaches, many not leading to solutions.  In my mind, that's going down a rabbit hole. 

From my personal experience, it is a better use of your time to just invest $8-20 on a USB based wireless adapter that you know works with Linux.  I'm not endorsing it, but something like this is what I'm talking about.

I like the way you think.  Good suggestion.
