I have reinstalled Kodi and tried the + - for sound with music mp3 on hdd , this plays perfectly. 
I followed a tutorial for removing the broken repositories and re-adding them, this was for android, it did not solve it.
I have a crash log file for Sveriges Radio.
It says as part of that -
