I have 64-bit 3.0 linux lite installed on a desktop and 2 dual boot laptops.  In the linux partition, I have /, /home, and /swap in each of them.  I understand lite can be upgraded to a newer version within a series and I am aware of being able to do it easily from the utilities within the desktop.  However, it appears one has to have an internet connection available.  I am somewhat limited in my available bandwidth and this is what I'd like to know.  Can one download the latest linux lite version iso, burn it to a cd, then use that cd to upgrade from, rather than the internet?  I've searched the forums but so far but haven't seen this answered clearly.
