How to eliminate mouse issue; I think it's a driver or software problem

Sorry it took a while to get back online. My mouse was working so poorly I couldn't do much on the computer. I guess it was the mouse cord, even though I still could click and use the scroll wheel. Anyway, I have a new mouse attached and it works fine. Also, I don't consider the few days I didn't have a working mouse a total waste of time. I saw it as an opportunity to learn more about how to use a command line
