I have a number of 850 Evo's
In 1 PC 1 runs at 36/37C, and I have 4 in a 5.25" adaptor, it's got an additional fan they run at 31/32C.
((NO A/C in the UK, ambient room temp is 23C))
Are you sure it's the SSD.?
Open Menu > type Disk
What does "Disk" show the temp as.?
What is the CPU temp.?, Laptops have limited cooling, so a hot CPU can warm up the HD
