Overheating hard drives hddtemp, data loss

No problems here in the desert where I run kernels from 4.0 to 3.13. On different gear. SSD, Pata, and Sata. Local temps higher than others here on this forum.
Summer is 115F on the average.

Edit: in fact. If it is cold. That is when my drives may not spin up and load the kernel onĀ  boot. Wait a few hours. Then OK.

If interested. I can post my conky line for hard drive activity that shows what is going on with my drives.
LL 3.6,2.8
Dell XT2 > Touchscreen Laptop
Dell 755 > Desktop
Acer 150 > Desktop
