317MB of memory on a frugal install running in ram with Seamonkey and evilvte terminal open. On a Pentium 3.
Browsers are killer nowadays. I needed a quick install on a 6 gig partition as I tested AntiX 14 a5 SV-i486 today with a 3.18 kernel. Booted UP ok but no love in graphics.

will try Anti's suggestion of vga=normal with vesa driver tomorrow as my boot cheat code and hope for the best I guess. It is getting harder and harder to keep these p2 and p3's on the net.

You Know. Lubuntu 14.04 has a PPC kernel version release I take it?

I think Xubuntu has one but can not swear to it.
