Can you remember which instructions you followed to install Brave ?

The page 'Installing Brave on Linux' for Ubuntu at https://brave.com/linux/ shows commands to import the authentication keys.  It doesn't look like your system has them.

i visited the site and i reinstalled brave
after that i went on and installed the updates and all worked well
