Hello, New Linux Lite User Here :)
#1
Hello, my name is Dito from Indonesia. I'm move from Lubuntu 18.04 LTS to Linux Lite on March 2nd. Before I'm using Lubuntu, Im using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS than upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

I like this distro,I like the synaptic package manager is install in default. The UI is modern but still lightweight. I like the Lite Software in the setting panel, it is convenient.

Unfortunately, there is no Indonesian Source Mirror, not like Ubuntu. But I can use the Vietnam Mirror, and it is still fast. But, I have one little dissappointed, I experienced little problem when trying live iso and still see the problem after installing Linux Lite. I will make other post about that problem (or searching the forum, then make a new post).

Thank you for reading my little story. Have a nice day :-)

Welcome!

Compared to other forums I have used, the Linux Lite forums are well organized so finding the right place to post should be a simple task. Wink
Maybe there is even an answer already somewhere here! hehe

Cheers!

Welcome Dito !

Have a look at Lite Tweaks too:  a unique feature that allows you to clean your system and increase its efficiency, without having to use command line.  Hope you'll decide to stay with LL and enjoy its forum community and all the help and support it has too offer  8)

64bit OS (32-bit on Samsung[i] netbook) installed in [i]Legacy mode on MBR-formatted SSDs (except pi which uses a micro SDHC card):
2017 - Raspberry pi 3B (4cores) ~ [email protected] - LibreElec, used for upgrading our Samsung TV (excellent for the task)
2012 - Lenovo G580 2689 (2cores; 4threads] ~ [email protected] - LL3.8/Win8.1 dual-boot (LL working smoothly)
2011 - Samsung NP-N145 Plus (1core; 2threads) ~ Intel Atom [email protected] - LL 3.8 32-bit (64-bit too 'laggy')
2008 - Asus X71Q (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6/Win8.1 dual-boot, LL works fine with kernel 4.15
2007 - Dell Latitude D630 (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6, works well with kernel 4.4; 4.15 doesn't work

Welcome here!  I have LL running on a modest laptop, trouble free and great for showing off to friends who don't know what Linux is, or who think it's some kinda super-techno-geeky stuff that ordinary mortals can't figure out.  I think LL's highly customized desktop is the most intuitive one around.  Now add the cool tools and the support from this great community, and it just doesn't get much better.
