I concur with the above smoothwall which has been around a long time is for servers and the GUFW/ufw combo is an ideal simple solution for Home desk top users.

Actually, after doing some research, I guess unless you're on a server, it isn't really needed. The simple firewall that comes with Linux Lite should be fine. I have had that going from the start, so I'm hopefully protected.
