ps. I have now gone back to Thunar. It is far "lighter" on my machine and I've been able to tweak it to almost what I want, so that's OK by me and eminently workable. |

@glin22, Have a look at Settings>Desktop>Menus>Desktop Menu checkbox is ticked by default. By un-ticking it you do get rid of the Applications part of the menu.

Well, @pauloz, it (LL 2.8 beta) seemed just so much the same with only a couple of tweaks. Now don't misunderstand me, I do like LL ... a lot! But the tweaks for 2.8 bet... |
