Linux Lite 2.2 Beta Released

Teddy:
Wowie! Jerry, this release looks stellar! I will try this as soon as I can and give you a bit of feedback. BTW, nice to be back to these forums again. School has kept me away from here, lol.

--- Quote ---Both of these iso's come in at 740mb, this means that we are no longer able to fit onto CD. After careful discussion with the community, the overall feeling was that what we offered people in terms of software and function was of greater importance than fitting on a certain media size.

One way to test on legacy gear via usb and unetbootin is to make a PLOP CD and boot your usb that way.

http://www.plop.at/en/ploplinux/livecd.html

Though I have not done this yet with Linux Lite 2.2. I will be be trying this method out later on a p4 HP A350N with 2 gig of ram with no USB boot capability in bios. it has a DVDRW it can boot from. But that would defeat the purpose of the test then. Wouldn't it?

Edit: Did the test. PLOP cd works in conjunction with a Linux Lite 2.2 USB made on a Kingston 2 gig Data traveler using Unetbootin.

The card reader in inxi was to post pics of my screen and computer but no mount in live session is cooperating with me. I already did a

--- Code: ---mkdir /media/sdh
--- End code ---
But I am having trouble mounting it manually  during a live session

So no pictures of plop boot screen with linux-lite. The video I posted should be easy enough to follow and knowing it works should be good enough.

Edit. Here are the pics of boot screen and computer in shop showing proof of concept that legacy computers (XP with no usb or dvdrom bios boot capability) will boot from usb
