XFCE4-Weather-Plugin Doesn´t Work. - Marcelo Marchi Negreira - 09-22-2025 The app, even though it's installed and configured correctly for my city, doesn't display any weather information. It appears it's not connecting to the weather data server. AMD A8 16 GB Ram AMD RX 550 Linux Lite 7.6 Kernel 6.16.8 RE: XFCE4-Weather-Plugin Doesn´t Work. - LL-user - 09-23-2025 Reason: Due to a necessary change requested by the API provider (met.no), older versions are no longer able to retrieve weather data. Unfortunately the package in the relevant Ubuntu repository has still not been updated yet. Solution: Download and install the package provided by the “Xubuntu Developers” team in their Xubuntu QA Staging PPA: https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/ubuntu/staging/+files/xfce4-weather-plugin_0.11.3-1~bpo24.04_amd64.deb NB: I'd refrain from adding the PPA to your system to prevent other apps also getting updated and potentially destabilizing your system.
