Wifi networks not showing up on 2.0 version - LSyke - 08-23-2020 I found the driver installed it using the terminal and it never said done. it just said installing then showed the default user@username/ message again that you get when you first open it. Anyone know what to do? Re: Wifi networks not showing up on 2.0 version - Artim - 08-23-2020 Linux Lite 2.0 is obsolete and unsupported. Unless you have a 32-bit computer, you should be using 3.8 or newer. I heard it's possible to force pae but they said it only works with a dvd not a usb unless you know something I don't know. is it possible to install the new version over it as in upgrade? Re: Wifi networks not showing up on 2.0 version - LSyke - 08-28-2020 So is there anyway to upgrade this to 5.0 or install in a way that forces pae from a usb? I read around I should try apt get download and the name of the wifi card and it should find it automatically. Re: Wifi networks not showing up on 2.0 version - LSyke - 08-30-2020 Come on guys please I just want working wifi on my r51 thinkpad. I had to use windows 2.0 if I need a later one let me know and I'll install it but how do I force pae with a usb? and I had the driver went to install it using sudo dkpg -i whatever and it listened a bunch of stuff then never gave a complete command just back to the user@username main header again. and still no internet. |
