new added user should not have admin rights - sisqonrw - 12-21-2019 Hi, i have ad a new user with Linux Lite User Manager. i dont want that the new user will have admin rights. i seeĀ adm but i can not unselect adm. on other distros there are a guest "user" directly after installation. i can see a guest user. is it correct? Re: new added user should not have admin rights - Valtam - 12-21-2019 They don't... "adm: Group adm is used for system monitoring tasks. Members of this group can read many log files in /var/log, and can use xconsole. Historically, /var/log was /usr/adm (and later /var/adm), thus the name of the group." Re: new added user should not have admin rights - sisqonrw - 12-21-2019 how can i add a guest user? who can not change something or install something? Re: new added user should not have admin rights - Valtam - 12-21-2019 You probably already have. Just use Lite User Manager. Newly added users DO NOT have admin rights. Re: new added user should not have admin rights - sisqonrw - 12-21-2019 there are after installing other user. what is the password of them? Re: new added user should not have admin rights - minesheep - 12-21-2019 you may mean sudo |
