Lightdm-webkit greet - arunp - 07-31-2014 Dear Team, The lightdm-webkit-greeter window opens sometime while booting and the desktop stays blank as given in this attachment, it gets closed when the window close is pressed and LL works normally, Why this is happening, what is the remeady Arun Re: Lightdm-webkit greet - sonic - 08-07-2014 I encounter the same issue sometimes both at 1.0.8 and 2.0. LightDM is the main problem here. Re: Lightdm-webkit greet - Scott(0) - 08-07-2014 Hi Arunp, I can't see your attachment but I can confirm this problem. When it happens on my maching the lightdm-webkit-greeter remains open as a window after sign-in. The best work-around for this problem I've found so far is to log out and log in again. Re: Lightdm-webkit greet - Valtam - 08-07-2014 You can also just click the close button and it will close eventually, takes a few seconds. Not sure what is causing this yet. Re: Lightdm-webkit greet - Scott(0) - 08-07-2014 @Valtam First some perspective on this issue: it happens on only about %10 of the time when booting. Quote:You can also just click the close button and it will close eventually, takes a few seconds.Last time I attempted this the system was complaining it was busy and gave the option to force quit. Maybe I didn't wait long enough. Next time it happens I'll wait longer and try closing the window again. Re: Lightdm-webkit greet - Valtam - 08-07-2014 Choose to force quit, its perfectly safe. Re: Lightdm-webkit greet - Scott(0) - 08-07-2014 Thanks Valtam |
