Mouse Acceleration - arky217 - 07-14-2019 Running Lite 4.4 on a HP desktop. Under Settings/Mouse & Touchpad/Acceleration, the Acceleration slider has no effect on my mouse's acceleration. This is the case with both a wired and a wireless mouse. I have to use the xinput command to change the mouse acceleration. Using xinput works fine with both the wired and wireless mice, although the acceleration property is worded differently between the two types. Could this be a bug, or am I overlooking something. I have tried 2 wireless mice and 4 wired mice and get the same result, which is that the slider has no effect. Edit: After researching this problem, it appears to be a bug in ubuntu 18.04, which was corrected in ubuntu 18.10. So, it seems the only way to change the mouse acceleration is with the xinput command and to keep it set, put the command in application startup.
