Nextbook EFI install - seasoned_geek - 01-13-2016 I read a few messages which said LinuxLite had EFI support. I pulled down the 64-bit ISO from the link at distrowatch to try it on my Nextbook. After Rufus onto thumb drive I saw it doesn't even have an EFI directory so Nextbook did not recognize it. I have seen links for many videos. Can someone provide me a link to a text tutorial which explains how to load this onto an EFI only machine? I'm on satellite Internet and don't want videos eating up my bandwidth. I also don't want to have to get up at 3am to watch them during the "bonus window" when most creatures are sleeping. Thanks, Re: Nextbook EFI install - torreydale - 01-13-2016 To my knowledge EFI is not currently supported but is being considered for the 3.x release Re: Nextbook EFI install - gold_finger - 01-13-2016 torreydale is correct. As of yet there is not a UEFI version of Linux Lite. LL's creator is currently considering adding that to next release in April/May and is running tests right now. A final decision on this is likely a few months off. In the meantime, you have two choices for installing LL to UEFI capable machines:
