[solved]no dropbox icon have to enter password every time I boot - jim2you71 - 07-13-2015 Running Lite 32 bit updated on my old Toshiba laptop. Runs good and quick. I installed dropbox from synaptic. Never have gotten an icon to show up in the tray. Now lately every time that I boot after about 30 or 45 seconds I have to enter my password so that dropbox can run. In other computers I have always right clicked the tray icon and got to the settings. How do I get to the settings to tell it to remember my password? Thanks Re: [solved]no dropbox icon have to enter password every time I boot - torreydale - 07-13-2015 To jim2you71, Uninstall everything related to Dropbox via Synaptic. I would just search the word "dropbox" and anything else with dropbox in the name (including and especially "nautilus-dropbox"), and mark them for complete removal. Open your File Manager. Hit Ctrl-H and remove the .dropbox folder, if one exists. Goto Menu->Favorites->Install Updates and run updates. Reboot Install Dropbox via Lite Software (Menu->System->Lite Software) Re: [solved]no dropbox icon have to enter password every time I boot - jim2you71 - 07-13-2015 Seems that fixes the problem. Thanks for the help. Re: [solved]no dropbox icon have to enter password every time I boot - torreydale - 07-13-2015 To help others, can you mark this as SOLVED or BEST ANSWER. |
