Hello!
Depending on where they are, properly documented, it could very well be a prosecutable offense, for which the penalties are fairly severe. Last I checked, this kind of blackmail is against the law.
Has anyone reported this to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center? If they get enough folks carrying on about it, they MIGHT do something...
