VLC does not support the audio or video format undf - john9159 - 11-29-2014

Almost daily I encounter a new problem with Linux Lite.
Today I decide to play Christmas music saved on my external hard drive and get the following message:
No suitable decoder module: VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

Thanks, tried the Restricted Extras install and again got an error message: Restricted Extras could not be installed.
Looking forward to getting back on Windows.

Hi,
There are 21 versions of Clementine on offer. I reckon I need a 32-bit version but which one?
I have Linux Lite 2 installed on my laptop.

What audio format are you trying to play? These are all of the formats that VLC currently supports: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html

Hi,

You should be able to just go into
Menu > System > Install/Remove Software(Synaptic)
Then Search for: Clementine
"Right Click" it, Mark it for installation,
Click on the Apply in the top Menu Icons.
It should install the correct version for you.
It show's it's 1.2 in Synaptic

He's likely to have the same issues since Clementine is also using Gstreamer. The culprit is probably the file format.
