Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - banko - 11-04-2016 Thanks for highlighting the problem and the quick solution, only took a few minutes to redo ![]() Keith. Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - m654321 - 11-04-2016 Excellent job for LL3.2, Jerry & all the devs. One thing I'm intrigued about with LL3.2. Most of the time I use an ESET antivirus for Linux though apparently it is not supported by SystemD - I found that out when I tried to install it on Lubuntu 16.04 for my son - needless to say it wasn't compatible. However, with LL 3.0 and 3.2, ESET works out of the box ... well done for that. The upgrading from LL3.0 to 3.2 went smoothly. However, it had the unintended consequence of upgrading an older version of Supertuxkart (0.8.1-2) to the current 0.9 version, which I didn't want as the graphics card in the PC is too old to run 0.9. How can I prevent LL doing this in future series upgrades? Many thanks for any advice on the above and keep up the great work that you and all the devs do Regards Mike Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - Valtam - 11-04-2016 Thanks Zebedee Boss, banko, m654321, UltraCookie, bonnevie, TMG1961, LL-user, firenice03, thoughtinstinct, Coastie & trinidad ![]() Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - Coastie - 11-04-2016 (11-04-2016, 04:27 AM)Jerry link Wrote: As the Spanish say..."no problemo" 8) Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - XpRefugee - 11-04-2016 LL Jerry = Ladies LOVE Jerry or linux lite Jerry, thanks for all your work. Lite upgrade from 3.0 to 3.2 not working on my desktop. the Upgrade in the menu is not available (I looked very closely) even searchbared the update and upgrade did not get it. I wonder if the package did not get installed initially for some reason FYI it is a tri-boot system W10, WVista, LL3.0 and I had a bear of a time getting that to work but I can boot all 3 os's native now (not virtual) I wonder if the package was missed or corrupted in the original LL3.0 install? I had great difficulty just getting it to update period. info below from term commands Code: cat /etc/llver Code: sudo apt-get upgrade Code: sudo apt-get dist-upgrade Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - Valtam - 11-04-2016 I take it you followed the steps in the Release Announcement? I too briefly suffered from the eluded Lite Upgrade... I checked my repo's and the LL repo was unchecked once checked and updates ran, the Lite Upgrade was available... I figured I inadvertently unchecked it... Pretty sure it was the citrine repo; not by my pc to confirm tho... Maybe the same for you??? Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - LL-user - 11-04-2016 Beside checking the LL repo as firenice03 pointed out what is the output of Code: sudo apt-get update Re: Linux Lite 3.2 Final Released - XpRefugee - 11-05-2016 (11-04-2016, 03:47 PM)Jerry link Wrote: I take it you followed the steps in the Release Announcement?I did on my lappy > Menu, Favorites, Install Updates > Menu, Settings, Lite Upgrade Worked great this option is missing on my desktop though yes it was disabled in the list When I enabled the repo I got an error. looked at my working laptop and I guess? it was pointed to xenial and needed to be citrine Once I changed that and updated The menu options were there thanks to all I wont muck up the thread any more. |
