The manual suggests it should be available, here's the relevant section: Thank you for the report. Looks like an oversight on my behalf, zip is now included on both arch's. We'd had reports from some people saying on the pdf files they opened, epdfviewer was displaying strange colours. Since we've been using evince there have been no such reports. It is the screen tearing in VLC and also in Youtube videos. Although I have a very common Intel HD4000 Graphics card in my laptop. Does anybody know an easy solution for this Problem? Have you enabled compositing at all? Re: Linux Lite 2.0 Beta released - susani78 - 05-22-2014 Yes, I enabled compositing, unfortunately didn't help me. I still see the screen tearing with this test video: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/369845/tearing-test.mp4 But I have to say this is the same with every other linux distibution too. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2 Re: Linux Lite 2.0 Beta released - wyldekey - 05-22-2014 My son has been using Linux Lite 1.08 for many months on a desktop with an Intel core 2 duo processor and we love it. Today I'm trying out Linux Lite 2.0 Beta on our main computer. Even with the 3.13 kernel (which it seems doesn't like the MSI motherboard/AMD processor) the Live CD works beautifully, unlike many other Ubunbtu 14.04-based distros I've tried out lately. My HP printer/scanner works great, graphics work well, very low RAM usage. My only concern is, it didn't find any proprietary drivers for my Nvidia graphics. When trying out Voyager 14.04 Live CD and some other XFCE distros, I had the option to install the propriety drivers. I wouldn't even care because the open source driver seemed to work fine using the Live CD. But then when I tried launching Firefox, the display went to hell with the crazy colors and lines and everything froze. If I were to install LL 2.0, would the open source driver work OK, or would I have an option to install the Nvidia driver? [/quote] Yes, there is. After install I tried it first. With compositing enabled it is maybe a little bit better. Re: Linux Lite 2.0 Beta released - Scott(0) - 05-23-2014 @wyldekey Hi wyldekey. Please try the (menu>settings>install drivers) one more time. My nvidia drivers were automatically updated today, just a few minutes ago. I'm wondering if backend stuff was syncing last time you checked and it caused you to get no options. Re: Linux Lite 2.0 Beta released - ohjrson - 05-23-2014 Just downloaded the iso onto my desktop and used netbootin to create a usb stick. I have it stuck in my Acer Aspire 3000 laptop and it is very smooth even for running from the stick. I am still evaluating its capability to run on the stick as I know lots of people will try it that way first before trying to install it. It is looking real nice and real good though, good job Valtam. Will keep you informed of my progress. I may go ahead and install Linux Lite 2 anyway. If I actually install it to my hd tomorrow, I have a feeling the driver thing may be resolved. Thanks.
