Re: [SOLVED] Blank Screen Instead of Login Screen - Valtam - 03-05-2015 Also make sure your downloaded iso matches the correct md5sum. Re: [SOLVED] Blank Screen Instead of Login Screen - Zead - 03-05-2015 Yeah I know, there aren't any proprietary (if I'm writting it right) drivers for me. I heard they work only on old kernels for X2300. I know, OK, thanks, I'll do that. Anyway, I did MD5 check. Re: [SOLVED] Blank Screen Instead of Login Screen - TMG1961 - 03-05-2015 I had the same problem today, turned of the computer after running updates and when i turned it on again after a few hours i only saw a black screen. Left it there for over an hour but only saw black screen and mouse pointer. Had to use clonezilla to put back backup and now its running fine again. I reinstalled my system right when some new updates came out, so that's probably why I didn't have any problems before. But I don't see anywhere more people reporting this bug... Did you install the updates again, and it works now? Or you didn't install them?
